A very
casual origin.
Behind the loudest street in Pump City stood a shuttered shop with a faded Baton sign. He found a white-and-green baton beside its door. Nobody came to claim it. So he waited. Then he finished his coffee.
By lunchtime, everyone was calling him Baton Guy.
